MCS 4th Grade 2014-2015

22 energetic learners. Each day they are enjoying lots of interesting interactions with all together because they know each other so well by working thoroughly, thoughtfully, and carefully each day. 4th grade curriculum is all about the integration of subjects. Students work together collaboratively, independently, and in whole group. We spend time at the end of each day in TBaA--Think Back and About. During that time, each will write content language to convey what they learned.

Congratulations Pleiades Club Annual Poetry Contest Winners-- Hayden and Eilowny

Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the 1912 Center, Hayden and Eilowny will have their original poetry read out loud during the annual celebration by the Pleiades Club to acknowledge the creativity of students from around the area.

Event starts at 3 p.m. Way to go!!! Join us in you can!

Donor's Choose Update

Well, we did have many people donate, but 4 Chromebooks is a lot to ask. Half the money was given. That is really cool. So, a new project will get put together and that one will get funded. Think I will go with graphing whiteboards and more math manipulatives!

1st Project- Fall 2014

This is the link to go and see a project from last year where we teamed with the 12 grade Physics class to do a balloon launch into near space. The kids did a 'pongsat' experiment that went up and kept a control in our classroom to compare.

The Chromebooks are a great source for collaboration when kids write and there are apps for practicing math, grammar, typing, and learning content.
