The kids and parents rode the Moscow Transit Buses to UI on Wednesday, Oct. 22 We have been thinking about form and function and studied the anatomy, digestion, and lactation of cows for the past few weeks. Josh Peak, dedicated manager of the UI Dairy gave the tour http://extension.uidaho.edu/preec/about-the-center/facilities/north-farm-dairy/and the kids were able to see milking and the whole facility. The took so many notes and will produce a report from all the facts they have collected from video, books and the tour.
The day was pretty cool and breezy so instead of eating lunch up at the grassy area on the Center, we took the bus to Friendship Square in Moscow. The kids had time to play too which was really neat.
The parents that came were a great help and enjoyed themselves too. Thank you to Cadence's Mom-she sent pictures included on this page, Keeahna's Mom, Azalea's Dad, Eilonwy's Dad, Traye's Mom, and Anne' Mom all made it to the facility-- it was such a great day!!
